Day 4: Beyond The Card {Growing in Unity}

Welcome to GIU Day 4 on my blog! (see my Day 1 post for the background on GIU) I've enjoyed reading your comments so keep them coming for a chance to win stamps from Unity Stamp Company!

I started off this week going beyond card making with my Unity stamps.  Today, I'm also going beyond paper by stamping on fabric to create a lavender sachet that can be hanged on a door knob, wall or on a hanger in your closet.  Just a few easy steps and you can make one too:
  1. Cut two pieces of fabric to your desired size - any size that suites you
  2. Cut a piece of ribbon to your desired length, if you want to hang your sachet
  3. Use your awesome Unity stamp to stamp the top piece of fabric
  4. Sandwich the ribbon between the two pieces of fabric and pin in place
  5. Sew the two pieces of fabric together on three sides using a top-stitch, add lavender thru the open edge and then sew that last side to close all four sides of the sachet.  This is a great opportunity to use the decorative stitches on your sewing machine.  If you don't sew, you can also use fabrice glue or a hot glue gun to connect the two pieces of fabric.  Adding ribbon or lace around the edge could take the place of a decorative stitch as well.  Your sachet is now complete and would make a wonderful gift or something special for you to
I used the Dream Big Itty Bitty stamp from Unity, cotton fabric and gross grain ribbon.

Leave a comment on any or all of my blog post this week to be entered  into a random drawing for your choice of two Itty Bitty stamps from Unity Stamps!
